Curt Fischer, Eta (Posted 19Feb2007)

Curt graduated from UND in the fall of 1971 and has lived in Eden Prairie, MN for over 12 years, with wife Maureen (St Marys/Notre Dame '72) and two sons, Andrew and Steven. Andrew is attending the Univ of Kansas in Lawrence. He was "pre-approved" for UND, but too many friends going to UK put him an another path. Curt has an IT background and has been in IT seemingly forever. He owned a consulting business for over 20 years, consulting at 3M, Pillsbury, Daytons, UnitedHealth Care, Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, etc. He took a job with one of his clients 5 years ago, that being Pharmetrics. Now with Pharmetrics, in the Boston, MA area (a unit of IMS Health), he works remotely from home and connects thru the internet to the Pharmetrics network in Watertown, MA. They process and refine claims data (hosp, doctor, & Rx) from over 95 HMO/Managed Care providers around the nation. The data warehouse has over 2.4 billion claims. Pharma and other companies pay Pharmetrics big money to tell them who (demographic stuff -age, gender, etc) is using their drugs, etc. Curt is currently working on his Masters in IS thru Phoenix Online.

He wants to drive up and see the house and how UND has changed, but family and business commitments keep him in the Twin Cites.

Maybe we can get him up for FOUNDERS 2008

Hey Pikes,

I spent last weekend in Grand Forks looking at houses and visiting the ATC tower .I will be in training in Oklahoma City from Sept. 28th till Nov. 22nd.  So I will not be at homecoming, which [is unfortunate], because I would love to go.  I will also have to miss Phil's wedding which is the same weekend as Homecoming, so I think most of the older guys will go to his wedding.

Clint Berglof, Alpha Phi (Posted 15Aug2006)

I was just on vacation for a week so I couldn't make the Saints game.  We were up north [Minnesota] with my family at a cabin.  It was a great week wish it wouldn't have gone so fast.

I don't have a lot of free time any more with a toddler.  I have kind of a long work day with my hour commute each way.  The weeks go by pretty quickly.  I work every other weekend so when I have a full weekend off I try to get one day in of fishing and spend the other with the family.

I do want to go to some events or an alumni meeting it just seem like there is always something going on.  So keep sending the emails and I'll be there eventually!  Mike Kemp and I talk all the time and try to go fishing as much as possible, I keep working him to come to some events but he has the same time problem.

I got an email from Chad Erickson a few weeks back.  That was cool I haven't talked to him since I left Grand Forks back in 96. He is married, and they are expecting their first child in a few months.

Keep in touch,

Clint

Tom Riley, Alpha Sigma (Posted 15Aug2006)

Tom, are you a golfer.

Not really and now we are into hunting season…where I spend any free minute when not with the family! Too much going on with young kids for now but I will likely resurface in 2-3 yrs…

Hi Pikes!

During the summer, my wife and daughter live at our lake cabin on Battle Lake by Fergus.  I go up there on weekends to drop off money (and see them a bit).   So, we can't make the Saint's game.  They are fun to go to though.   Hope I can see you soon.

Thanks,

LaMar

Rob Chaucierre, Alpha Zeta (Posted 15Aug2006)

I do still live at my house in St Paul, but the mail gets forwarded to my wife's crashpad in Boston, MA.  What a loop, eh?  Regardless, I will gladly take mail at the VA address. I've been mobilized and serving on military duty for 14 months now. My military orders have me returning to MSP in June 2007. I was in Iraq the first year, and now I'm assigned to backfill a position at Ft Lee, VA.

Paul Antonenko, Alpha Mu (Posted 15Aug2006)

Hi Pikes.

Yes I am living in the Twin Cities, but when you have 5 kids, they kid of take up most of your time.  I can’t make it to the [Saints baseball] game next week as we have a family reunion at which we are taking a canoe trip down the crow wing river.  I see all the e-mails you guys are sending and I want to remain on the list incase I get a break from the job and the family.

I hope you are doing well.  If you want to call me, feel free.  You can reach me at 952-936-4805.

Dave Pikop, Beta Gamme (Posted 15Aug2006)

Brother Dave Pikop, a 1993 initiate of the Beta Gamma pledge class, was born in our own town of Grand Forks and raised in a small town Stephen, MN.  After attending UND, brother Pikop graduated from the nearby University of Minnesota Crookston with a degree in Agricultural Business and Marketing Management.

Since his graduation, Dave keeps busy working in farm related fields.  During the harvest months, Dave has put much of his time into keeping his families farm running in Stephen, MN.  Throughout that time, Dave has also kept busy working other jobs on the side.  Everything from being a Regional Sales Manager for BEELINE Technologies, which sells GPS equipment for farmers to selling actual faming equipment for Machinery Link, Dave keeps quite busy.

When asked how he got involved in the house, Dave has much the same story as many of our Brothers.  Dave was immediately sold on PKA when he saw the “unique variety of people in the house”.  “The spectrum of people and personalities made for stronger bonds between brothers”, Dave goes on to say.  Brothers Brian Lloyd, Dave Monticell and Kent Willament, all friends in West hall, got Dave interested in the house.  When asked what he gained most from being a Pike, Dave replied, “My relationships developed in the house, I believe, where stronger than 90% of all other college forums.”  Dave notes his ability to interact with people in a business environment was developed through the house.

Dave is in the process of selling off most of his farming equipment is soon to be making his way down to Ft. Charlotte, FL where he plans to work selling material to construction companies with his friend and fraternity brother Dave Monticell.  We wish him luck in sunny, warm Florida!

Troy Dunavan, Alpha Zeta '83 (Posted 15Aug2006)

Troy, a member of the Alpha Zeta pledge class, was the first president of the current ZPAA and is presently employed in the Minneapolis area as a Technical Marketing Engineer for Xiotech, Inc.  Troy was also very involved in the fundraising effort that culminated with the new chapter house in 2004.

Troy is married to the lovely Sheri Dunavan and they have two beautiful children, Elyn (3) and Ethan (1).  Between work and family life, Troy finds very little time for golf, watching Sioux hockey or Minnesota sports but watches when he can.  Troy and Sheri do have Viking season tickets though and are looking forward to the new season.
